, Calif.- One person was injured when a vehicle collided with a city bus at a Fresno intersection on Friday evening, the Fresno Police Department said.

The collision took place at Shields and Cedar avenues at about 6:30 a.m.

The police said the vehicle slammed into the bus and both vehicles burst into flames following the accident.

The Fresno Fire Department responded to the scene and quickly put out the flames.

One person on the bus was treated for minor injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was driving on a suspended license, police said.

No further details were released.

The accident is under investigation.
