CHP said a Ford utility truck was stopped for traffic in the area when it was hit from behind by a semi-truck that failed to slow down

Fresno, CA – One person was injured in a crash involving two big rigs in Fresno on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place at about 4:10 p.m. on Highway 99 at Highway 41.
CHP said a Ford utility truck was stopped for traffic in the area when it was hit from behind by a semi-truck that failed to slow down.
The impact pushed the Ford into another semi that was stopped ahead.
The driver of the Ford was pinned between the big rigs and was pulled out by firefighters.
The victim was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
