, Calif. – One person was hospitalized after being injured in a collision involving a tanker truck on Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened at the intersection of Streeter and avenues at around 1 p.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

A fuel tanker truck and a pickup truck collided on the highway in unclear circumstances. Both vehicles caught fire after the collision.

All occupants had self-extricated before the firefighters arrived.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
