Fremont, CA. – One person was injured in a collision that involved a fire engine on Saturday morning in Fremont.
The accident was reported around 7 a.m. on the northbound 680 Freeway near the Andrade exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters were responding to an incident on the freeway and were rendering aid to a patient when two vehicles crashed into the firetruck.
One of the drivers was injured in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Fremont fire reported no firefighters injured in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
