Merced, CA. – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a police vehicle in Merced on Saturday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 5 p.m. on Parsons Avenue near Golden Valley High School.
A male officer in a Merced Police Department patrol unit was exiting a parking lot at the school when it struck a 24-year-old man riding a scooter on the sidewalk.
The pedestrian suffered minor injuries in the accident and was transported to Mercy Medical Center for treatment.
