1 Hurt in Oakland Truck Accident on 880 Freeway near 98th Avenue

Oakland, California (September 5, 2022) – One person was injured following a car accident on Monday morning in Oakland, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at around 5:40 a.m. on northbound 880 Freeway, just north of 98th Avenue.
Police confirmed three vehicles, including a pick-up truck and a small Volkswagen SUV, collided for reasons yet to be determined.
Firefighters and medical personnel aided at least one person injured in the accident. The total number of patients and their current condition were not immediately released.
The SUV and the third vehicle sustained significant damage following the accident. The two cars were towed away from the accident location.
Officials blocked lanes 1 and 2 due to the collision. All roads were cleared as of 6:29 a.m.
