1 Hospitalized after Sacramento Car Accident on Highway 99 near Highway 50
Sacramento, California (August 13, 2022) – One person suffered minor injuries in a multi-vehicle accident that took place Saturday afternoon in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said.
The pileup was reported at about 2:30 p.m. on northbound Highway 99, just south of Highway 50.
Four vehicles were involved in the accident. All the car's occupants, including six children, were able to get out and move to the right-hand shoulder.
Sacramento County firefighters responded to the scene and requested an ambulance to transport one person who sustained minor injuries.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
