The driver of the white Freightliner was seriously injured and was airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Walla Walla

Umatilla, OR. – One person was airlifted to hospital after being seriously injured in a car accident on Tuesday in Pendleton.
According to Oregon State Police, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 near Poverty Flats Roads.
A green Peterbilt truck towing a yellow Freightliner box truck was moving slowly with its hazard lights on when it was rear-ended by a white Freightliner truck.
The driver of the white truck was seriously injured and was airlifted to St. Mary's Hospital in Walla Walla for treatment.
The driver of the Peterbilt was evaluated at the scene and released.
