One Hospitalized after Butte County Accident on Meridian Road and Highway 99

Butte County, California (August 11, 2022) – One person was injured in a rollover accident that happened in Butte County on Wednesday afternoon, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred on Meridian Road and Highway 99 at around 4:25 p.m. on August 10.
According to CHP, a white SUV was trying to turn left onto Highway 99 from Meridian Road when it collided with a car traveling north on the highway.
The impact of the crash pushed the northbound vehicle into a utility pole on the side of the road. The vehicle then traveled through a wire fence and rolled onto its roof in an orchard.
The driver of the northbound vehicle was hospitalized with minor injuries.
No other injuries were reported in the collision.
Authorities shut down the northbound side of Highway 99 as crews worked to clear the area.
An investigation to find out what led up to the incident is underway.
