One person was seriously injured in a bicycle accident at Stearns Street and Los Angeles Avenue in Simi Valley
Simi Valley, California – A bicyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a car in Simi Valley on Thursday evening.
The bicycle accident happened around 7:50 p.m. in the area of Stearns Street and Los Angeles Avenue, according to the Simi Valley Police Department.
A bicyclist was traveling northbound across Los Angeles Avenue and was struck by a car traveling eastbound on Los Angeles Avenue.
The bicyclist suffered major injuries in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The vehicle, described as a late 1990s to early 2000s gold Toyota sedan, fled the scene and was yet to be located.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the bicycle accident is ongoing.
