A gray Honda HR-V and a gray Nissan were involved in the collision near the Ralston Avenue on-ramp.

Belmont, Calif. – An early morning traffic collision on Highway 101 in Belmont left one person with injuries, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident took place around 3 a.m. Sunday in the southbound lanes of the highway just south of the Ralston Avenue on-ramp.
CHP said a gray Nissan collided with a gray Honda HR-V for an unknown reason. The Honda sustained major front-end damage, and the Nissan acquired rear-end damage.
One person complained of pain to the chest and arm. The patient was treated at the scene, but it was not clear if the victim was hospitalized.
Investigators briefly shut down the Nos. 3, 4, and 5 lanes as they worked the scene.
