A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a car at Sierra Highway and Vasquez Canyon Road in Valencia

Los Angeles, Calif. – One person was hospitalized after being injured in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday evening in Valencia.
The 6:35 p.m. accident happened in the area of Sierra Highway and Vasquez Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Toyota RAV4 is reported to have struck a pedestrian at the intersection in unclear circumstances.
The pedestrian was injured in the accident and was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
