1 Hospitalized after Huron Big Rig Accident on Highway 269 at Highway 198

Huron, California (August 1, 2022) – One person was hospitalized after a Monday morning rollover collision involving a semi-truck that happened in Huron, Fresno County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The report said the wreck occurred at about 6:11 a.m. on Highway 269 at Highway 198.
Huron Police Department officers who responded to the scene said a big rig hauling tomatoes collided with another vehicle and overturned. The semi was leaking gas, and tomatoes were scattered in the roadway. The driver of the semi suffered a head injury.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and transported one person to Kaweah Delta Hospital with minor injuries.
Highway 269 remained closed in both directions during investigations and as the big rig was being uprighted and towed away from the scene.
