One Person Killed, Another Injured in Isleton Crash on Highway 160
Sacramento County, California (October 10, 2021) – A head-on collision claimed the life of one person Saturday evening near Isleton and left one other injured, authorities said.
Shortly before 5:15 p.m. Saturday, October 9, emergency personnel responded to the 15175 block of Highway 160, just west of Isleton, to investigate the report of a traffic collision involving two vehicles.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Lexus was traveling on Highway 160 at a high rate of speed when, for unknown reasons, it drifted off the shoulder. The driver overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle.
The Lexus then crossed over the double yellow lines and collided head-on with an oncoming Ford F350.
The Ford sustained front-end damage while the Lexus was totaled after the crash.

The Lexus driver, whose name has not been disclosed pending family notification, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by responding paramedics.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
