Man Dies in Fresno Truck Crash on Highway 99 at Herndon Avenue
Fresno, California (October 3, 2021) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Fresno early Sunday morning, according to authorities.
The incident happened on Highway 99 at Herndon Avenue.
According to the report, several vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of Highway 99 just before 2:30 a.m. and some of the cars became disabled on the roadway.
Shortly after, a box truck approaching the scene attempted to swerve to avoid the wreckage but slammed into a car parked along the side of the highway.

The driver of the truck, identified as a man in his 30s, died at the scene of the crash.
Two other people riding in the truck were transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.
No other injuries were reported from the incident.
The wreck is under investigation.
