A 71-year-old woman driving a black 2017 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on Forrester Road when she drifted into the path of oncoming vehicles and collided head-on with a white 2015 Honda Accord
Imperial County, CA.- One person was killed and two others were injured in a traffic collision that took place in Imperial County on Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two vehicles were involved in the incident that occurred on Forrester Road, north of Keystone Road at around 9:20 a.m.
A 71-year-old woman driving a black 2017 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on Forrester Road when she drifted into the path of oncoming vehicles and collided head-on with a white 2015 Honda Accord.
The northbound driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Her name was not immediately released pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver of the Honda, a 31-year-old woman, and her passenger, a 1-year-old, were both taken to Desert Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
