Oakland, Calif.- One person was killed and three others hurt in a collision involving a wrong-way driver in Oakland on Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Interstate 580 at the MacArthur Maze at about 4:30 a.m.
The CHP said a white pickup truck was traveling the wrong way on Interstate 580 when it collided with a car.
The truck then crashed with a third vehicle.
The driver of the first car that was struck was killed.
The two occupants of the truck suffered serious injuries.
According to the report, the truck was linked to a burglary incident in El Cerrito.
The accident is under investigation.
