Two cars collided early Saturday morning near Obama Boulevard and 6th Avenue.
Los Angeles, CA. – One person died, and three others were hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened early Saturday morning near LA's Leimert Park neighborhood.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said the accident took place around 2:55 a.m. on Obama Boulevard at 6th Avenue.
Two vehicles collided, shearing a fire hydrant and slamming into a nearby house. The home caught fire after the crash.
LAFD personnel responded to the scene shortly after the accident.
Firefighters pronounced one person dead at the scene and transported three others to a regional trauma center. The patients were only identified as a 30-year-old female, a 19-year-old female, and an 18-year-old male. All patients suffered unspecified injuries.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
