One Dies in Ventura County Accident on Pacific Coast Highway

Ventura County, California (September 11, 2021) – One person was killed and three others injured in a traffic collision that occurred near Mugu Rack in Ventura County on Saturday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened on Pacific Coast Highway between Sycamore Canyon and Deer Creek roads just before 1 p.m.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision and one of them overturned as a result of the wreck.

One person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Some patients had to be extricated from the wreckage. One patient was airlifted to Ventura County Medical Center with critical injuries.
Two other patients were taken to hospitals with serious injuries while a fourth patient was treated for minor injuries.
The crash caused a closure of PCH in both directions as authorities investigated the incident.
The collision is under investigation.
