An SUV and the bus carrying 63 people collided on the westbound side of the freeway and the SUV burst into flames

Hacienda Heights, CA.- One person was killed and several others were injured in a traffic collision involving a tour bus in Hacienda Heights early Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place at about 5 a.m. on the Pomona (60) Freeway at the Hacienda Boulevard off-ramp.
An SUV and the bus carrying 63 people collided on the westbound side of the freeway and the SUV burst into flames.
The operator of the SUV was pronounced deceased at the site of the collision.
32 occupants of the bus were injured in the crash. Four people were in serious condition and two of them were being treated for critical injuries. The remaining 26 patient had minor injuries
All the other passengers were released.
The westbound lanes of the freeway were shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The cause of the deadly accident is under investigation.
