1 Killed in Two-Car Accident on Highway 41 near Road 406 in Madera

Madera, California (March 14, 2022) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Monday afternoon near Coarsegold in Madera County.
The fatal accident was reported at around 12:30 p.m. on Highway 41 near Road 406, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A vehicle was traveling southbound on Highway 41 when the driver lost control and overturned onto its side.
The vehicle then traveled into the northbound lanes and struck another vehicle.
A 21-year-old Fresno man driving one of the cars was killed in the accident.
A 19-year-old woman from Ahwahnee who was driving the second car was unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
