One Dies in Mendocino County Crash on Albion Ridge Road

Mendocino County, California (February 21, 2022) – One person died following a head-on collision in Mendocino County on Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred when a 2010 Toyota Rav4 traveling east on the Albion Ridge Road crossed over the solid yellow lines and collided head-on with an oncoming 2020 Honda Accord.
The crash was reported at around 3:52 p.m. February 19, west of Road H.
Albion Woman Killed in Mendocino County Collision on Albion Ridge Road
CHP said a 63-year-old Albion woman who was a passenger in the Accord was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Accord, a 25-year-old Martinez man, sustained minor injuries. His other passengers, a 66-year-old Albion woman, and a 28-year-old Martinez man, were hospitalized with major injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, a 24-year-old Albion man, sought own treatment for minor injuries.
Albion Ridge Road was closed for hours as crews worked at the scene.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
