1 Dies in Highway 1 Car Accident near Gorda
Gorda, California (September 21, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly collision that happened on Monday night near Gorda in Monterey County.
The incident happened on Highway 1 at about 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 19.
According to the CHP, two cars were involved in the crash on the southbound side of the highway.
One person died following the incident. The identity of the deceased party was not immediately released.
It's unclear whether other parties involved in the incident were injured.
An investigation to determine the cause of the incident is ongoing.
