Police said a Nissan Versa was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Pilot in the area

Eugene, OR. – One person was killed in a crash between two vehicles in Eugene on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Eugene Police Department.
The incident was reported at about 1:30 p.m. July 9, on W. 13th Avenue and S. Bertelsen Road.
Police said a Nissan Versa was involved in a head-on collision with a Honda Pilot in the area.
The driver of the Nissan was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The other driver was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
Impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the incident, the EPD said.
The investigation is ongoing.
