14-Year-Old Killed in Visalia Crash on SR-63/Dinuba Boulevard and Marlin Avenue

Visalia, California (July 22, 2022) – A teen was killed in a collision involving a stolen vehicle in Visalia on Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place just before 7:40 a.m. on SR-63/Dinuba Boulevard and Marlin Avenue.
A 15-year-old boy was driving a Chevrolet Silverado that had been reported stolen when he drifted off the side of the road, then overcorrected into the path of oncoming vehicles and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Traverse.
The impact sent both vehicles into a parked big rig.
A 14-year-old Dinuba boy who was in the backseat of the truck was not wearing a seatbelt and died in the accident.
The driver of the truck and a 14-year-old female passenger sustained major injuries and were transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.
The driver of the SUV, a 27-year-old man, was also taken to Kaweah with major injuries.
The teenage driver is facing charges following the collision.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
