1 Killed in Car Crash on Highway 119 near Buena Vista Road in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, California (August 15, 2022) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision that happened on Monday morning in Bakersfield.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Highway 119 near Buena Vista Road at around 7:24 a.m.
A Ford pickup truck and a semi-truck were involved in the collision. The manner in which the accident happened, however, was not immediately established.
One of the vehicles reportedly drifted off the roadway after the collision and crashed into a power pole.
Officials say one person was killed in the accident.
The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
