One person was trapped inside the wreckage after the crash near the intersection

Yuba City, Calif. – One person died in a traffic collision that happened Saturday afternoon near an intersection in Yuba City, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Authorities responded to the scene near S George Washington Boulevard and Lincoln Road after receiving reports of the collision around 4:07 p.m.
Officers found two vehicles involved in a possible head-on crash, and one female occupant trapped inside the wreckage.
Firefighters responded and freed the victim.
The report said one person died from injuries sustained in the accident.
It was unclear if anyone else was injured.
S George Washington Boulevard at Bogue Road was shut down during the rescue operation and investigation.
