One person killed and two others critically injured in collision at Broadway and East Cesar Chavez Boulevard in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA. – One person was killed and two others were critically injured in a car accident near Chinatown in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday morning.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident happened around 12:41 a.m. at Broadway and East Cesar Chavez Boulevard.
A car was traveling westbound on Cesar Chavez Avenue when it collided with a car traveling northbound on Broadway.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene rescued three people who were trapped in the vehicles.
The three people were transported to the hospital in critical condition where an 18-year-old man died.
Five others were hospitalized in unknown condition.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
