Dan Riley Murphy Killed in San Bernardino Crash on 210 Freeway near Del Rosa Avenue

San Bernardino, California (June 13, 2022) – Dan Riley Murphy, 57, was killed in a traffic collision early Thursday morning in San Bernardino.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened on the eastbound Interstate 210 Freeway, west of Del Rosa Avenue, just after midnight.
Murphy was driving a cargo van when he slammed into the back of a semi-truck in unclear circumstances.
Murphy, a resident of Desert Hot Springs, was pronounced dead at the scene.

San Bernardino, California (June 11, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday morning traffic accident, involving a semi-truck that killed one person in San Bernardino.
The deadly accident happened at about 12:00 a.m., on June 9, on the East Bound 210 Freeway, just West of Del Rosa.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a cargo van crashed into the back of a semi-truck on the freeway in unclear circumstances.
Sadly, the driver of the van, who was trapped in the wreckage, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the collision.
Further details regarding the mishap were not immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.

Newly released estimates by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) show that fatalities reached a 16-year high last year.
According to the Early Estimate of Motor Vehicle Traffic Fatalities in 2021 report released by NHTSA, about 42,915 people were killed in traffic collisions in 2021. This shows a 10.5% increase from the 38,828 fatalities reported in 2020. NHTSA says the projection is the highest number of traffic deaths since 2005 as well as the largest percentage rise in the history of the Fatality Analysis Reporting System.
The report indicates that the traffic fatalities in the following categories showed relatively large increases in 2021, as compared to 2020;
