1 Killed in Firebaugh Car Accident at Highway 33 and Shaw Avenue in Firebaugh
Firebaugh, California (August 4, 2022) – One person was killed in a head-on collision that happened on Wednesday evening in Firebaugh.
At around 9:50 p.m. on August 3, the California Highway Patrol responded to a traffic collision in the area of Highway 33 and Shaw Avenue.
A woman in her 30s was driving a Hyundai southbound on Highway 33 when he collided head-on with an oncoming Freightliner hauling tomatoes.

The woman who was driving the Hyundai was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 60s who was driving the Freightliner was unhurt.
Officers do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be involved.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
