A vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 1 drifted into the southbound side and collided head-on with a southbound vehicle.

Cambria, CA – One person was killed in a head-on collision in Cambria on Sunday afternoon, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Highway 1 north of Burton Drive at about 3:20 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 1 drifted into the southbound side and collided head-on with a southbound vehicle.
The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 20-year-old Rocklin woman, was killed in the accident.
A passenger in that vehicle, a 19-year-old from Flagstaff, Arizona, was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
The southbound driver, a 56-year-old Bakersfield man, sustained major injuries while his passenger, a 59-year-old Bakersfield woman, had moderate injuries.
Both patients were taken to hospital for treatment.
CHP said DUI and distraction were not believed to have played a role in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
