1 Killed, 2 Injured in Victorville Accident on Highway 395 at La Mesa Road
Victorville, California (August 13, 2022) – One person died, and two others were hospitalized after two vehicles collided Thursday night at an intersection in Victorville, as per a local news source.
Authorities said the accident took place at about 11:04 p.m. on August 11 at Highway 395 and La Mesa Road.
Police said one vehicle was traveling north on Highway 395, and another car was heading west on La Mesa Road. The car on Highway 395 broadsided the other vehicle at the intersection.
The driver of the car that was broadsided was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passenger in the other vehicle were transported to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
A witness of the crash said the vehicles involved were a red Hyundai and a blue Infiniti.
Investigators closed the highway between Luna Road and Bear Valley Road following the incident.

- Parents and drivers should follow school policies and procedures for picking up and dropping off students.
- Stop for school buses and watch for students rushing to catch or exiting the bus.
- Parents should teach the children walking or riding to and from school how to cross the road safely, such as looking both ways before crossing the street, crossing at marked crosswalks, and using available sidewalks.
