A passenger in the Dodge suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Memorial North Hospital in Modesto
Merced County, CA. – A 21-year-old man died in a car crash on Tuesday night in Los Banos.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 11 p.m. on Interstate 5, north of Nees Avenue.
The 21-year-old man was driving a 2020 Dodge southbound on the freeway when he failed to notice the stopped traffic and swerved to the right where he struck the right rear of a 2023 Volvo driven by a 38-year-old Kevin King.
The unidentified driver of the Dodge was killed in the accident.
A passenger in the Dodge identified as Jaylene Lasarga suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Memorial North Hospital in Modesto.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
