Madera, CA. – One person was killed in a head-on collision on Sunday night in Madera County.
The fatal crash happened around 11:13 p.m. on Highway 145 near Toja Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Dodge Charger was traveling west on the highway when it veered into the eastbound lane and hit a Ford truck head-on.
The impact of the crash caused a Nissan Rogue to hit the Dodge. The Nissan spun out and was struck by a Toyota Prius, while a Dodge truck hit the Charger.
Police say the Dodge Charger burst into flames after the collision.
The driver of the Ford truck died at the accident scene.
Other involved drivers were hospitalized with minor injuries.
