Imperial County, California (September 15, 2022) – One person was killed in a on Wednesday in Imperial County.

The deadly collision happened on State Route 111 near Beal Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

31-year-old Diaz-Espinoza was driving a 2019 Peterbilt semi- southbound on Highway 111 when it struck a 1987 Honda motorcycle driven by a 40-year-old man.

The motorcyclist sustained injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
