A big rig was traveling southbound on Road 9 when it tried to cross the intersection and was hit by an oncoming car

Los Banos, Calif. – One person was killed in a traffic collision in Los Banos on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place on Highway 152 and Route 9 shortly before 6 a.m.
A big rig was traveling southbound on Road 9 when it tried to cross the intersection and was hit by an oncoming car.
The big rig was pulling a trailer hauling tree stakes.
The impact of the crash caused the big rig to hit an SUV.
The driver of the SUV, a Madera man in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
One other driver was treated for minor injuries.
The CHP is investigating the collision.
