According to ADOT, multiple vehicles collided on the westbound lanes of Loop 202 Red Mountain, just north of Sky Harbor Airport

Mesa, AZ.- One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Mesa early Sunday morning, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The incident took place on Loop 202 Red Mountain near 32nd Street at about 2 a.m.
According to ADOT, multiple vehicles collided on the westbound lanes of Loop 202 Red Mountain, just north of Sky Harbor Airport.
One person was killed in the crash.
It's unclear whether there were other injuries in the collision.
The crash led to the closure of the westbound lanes of the freeway at 44th Street.
The cause of the deadly wreck is under investigation.
