1 Killed in Bicycle Accident at Saviers Road and Glacier Avenue in Oxnard
Ventura, California (September 20, 2022) – A bicyclist died after being struck by a vehicle in Oxnard on Monday night.
The fatal bicycle accident happened at around 7:40 p.m. at Saviers Road and Glacier Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man was riding a bicycle across Saviers Road westbound towards Glacier when he was hit by a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
The bicyclist was transported to an area hospital where he died while undergoing treatment, according to the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office.
The 35-year-old Oxnard man who was driving the car remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
