Authorities say at least one person was killed in the accident
Palo Alto, CA. – At least one person died in a car accident early Friday morning in Palo Alto.
At around 2:56 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a car accident on Highway 101 near San Antonio Road.
The driver of a red Hyundai SUV reportedly stopped on the freeway after hitting something, damaging his vehicle.
A few minutes later, two other vehicles hit the disabled SUV.
Authorities say the driver of the SUV was killed in the accident.
The deceased person was not immediately identified.
The occupants of the other two cars were unhurt.

CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
