1 Killed in Collision on 5 Freeway near Alameda Avenue in Pasadena

Los Angeles, California (August 8, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a car crash that claimed the life of one person early Sunday morning in Pasadena.
The accident was reported at around 3:11 a.m. on Interstate 5 Freeway near Alameda Avenue, according to the CHP.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision, but the cause of the accident was not immediately established.
The paramedics who responded to the incident pronounced one person dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
