One person was killed in a collision at State Route 190 and Road 208 in Porterville
Porterville, CA. – One person was killed in a collision involving a semi-truck on Monday morning in Porterville.
The fatal collision happened in the area of State Route 190 and Road 208 at around 5:23 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 2020 International semi-truck hauling two trailers was traveling west on Highway 190 when it collided with a GMC heading south on Road 208.
CHP reports that the 49-year-old Strathmore man who was driving the GMC was killed in the accident.
The deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
Two passengers in the car were injured in the accident and were transported to Kaweah Health.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
