A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car on Highland Valley Road near Bandy Canyon Road
Ramona, Calif. – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car in Ramona on Saturday morning.
The fatal crash happened around 11:35 a.m. on Highland Valley Road near Bandy Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 62-year-old La Mesa man was riding a 2017 Yamaha FZ09 motorcycle on Highland Valley Road when he crashed into a 2019 Toyota Camry driven by a 20-year-old San Marcos man.
The rider was transported to an area hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
The Toyota driver was unhurt.
Authorities do not believe driving under the influence was a factor in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
