Ramona, Calif. – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a car in Ramona on Saturday morning.

The crash happened around 11:35 a.m. on Highland Valley Road near Bandy Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A 62-year-old La man was riding a 2017 Yamaha FZ09 motorcycle on Highland Valley Road when he crashed into a 2019 Toyota Camry driven by a 20-year-old man.

The rider was transported to an area hospital where he died while receiving treatment.

The Toyota driver was unhurt.

Authorities do not believe driving under the influence was a factor in the crash.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
