San Diego, CA. – A motorcyclist died in a collision that happened in the Torrey Pines area of San Diego early Thursday morning.
The fatal motorcycle accident happened around 1 a.m. on Interstate 5 Freeway near Carmel Valley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The 35-year-old San Diego man was riding an Indian-brand two-wheeler southbound on the freeway when he rear-ended a Mini Cooper.
The rider was ejected from the bike and was struck by an oncoming Nissan Sentra.
The unidentified man was transported to the hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
