Two occupants of the southbound car were injured and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Yelm, WA. – At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Sunday night in Yelm.
According to the police, the accident happened around 9 p.m. on SR 507 near 312th Street.
A speeding driver was reportedly fleeing from the police when he reportedly drifted into southbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle before slamming into a pursuing Yelm Police Department car.
The driver of the fleeing vehicle was ejected during the crash and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Two occupants of the southbound car were injured and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The Yelm officer involved in the pursuit was also transported for evaluation.
