1 Dies in Cerritos Car Crash on Bloomfield Avenue and South Street
Cerrritos, California (January 5, 2022) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday morning in Cerritos, the L.A. County Fire Department reported.
At least six vehicles were involved in the deadly accident that happened just before 9 a.m. near Bloomfield Avenue and South Street.
According to the report, a FedEx delivery truck and five other vehicles collided in the area. A dark-colored sedan was among the involved vehicles and was heavily damaged after crashing into the side of the FedEx truck.

Medics responded to the incident and pronounced one involved party deceased following the crash.
Two other people were injured and one of them was rushed to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
The crash left several packages and debris scattered at the scene.
Authorities closed the intersection for some time as they worked to clear the scene.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is underway.
