Man Killed, Another Injured in Phoenix Accident on 23rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road

Phoenix, Ariz. – One man was killed and another injured in a collision that occurred in Phoenix on Sunday evening, the Phoenix Police Department said.
The incident took place in the area of 23rd Avenue and Happy Valley Road at about 6:30 p.m.
Police said at least three vehicles were involved in the collision.
One driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second motorist was extricated from his vehicle and was taken to a Valley hospital with critical injuries.
The third driver was evaluated but declined to be transported.
Roads were expected to be closed for hours as authorities investigated the crash.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
