1 Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 near Alum Rock Avenue
San Jose, California (August 11, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in San Jose early Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened on southbound Highway 101 near Alum Rock Avenue at about 4:16 a.m.
A vehicle is reported to have struck a pedestrian under unclear circumstances.
The pedestrian was killed in the accident.
The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
The southbound lanes of the highway were temporarily blocked as the officers processed the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
