1 Killed in Head-On Collision on San Francisquito Canyon Road in Santa Clarita

Los Angeles, California (February 14, 2022) – One person was killed in a head-on collision on Sunday night in Santa Clarita.
The deadly collision happened on San Francisquito Canyon Road near Fire Camp at around 8:30 p.m., February 13.
The California Highway Patrol said a 2015 Toyota Prius was traveling northbound on San Francisquito when he drifted into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming 2014 Honda CRV.
The driver of the Honda, identified only as a Moorpark resident in his 60s, died at the scene of the accident, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner's Office.

A passenger in the Honda, a 74-year-old Moorpark resident, was flown to the hospital with major injuries.
The 54-year-old Lancaster resident who was driving the Toyota was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
More information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
