Imperial County, CA. – One person was airlifted to the hospital after a collision involving a tractor that happened Tuesday morning near Holtville, the California Highway Patrol said.

A silver Toyota Prius crashed into the back of a tractor under unclear circumstances. The car landed on hay in the area.
One person was severely injured in the accident. AMR responded to the scene and transported the patient to Barbara Worth Country Club by ground ambulance, from where an air ambulance was to airlift them to a regional trauma center.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
