Apple Valley, CA. – A driver died after their car stalled in traffic lanes and got hit by a big rig Monday night in Apple Valley, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck occurred around 9:08 p.m. on the southbound 15 Freeway near Hodge Road.
According to CHP, a 2023 Honda Civic Sport reportedly became disabled and came to a stop in a traffic lane when it was hit by an 18-wheeler tractor-trailer.
The driver of the Honda died in the collision.
Debris from the collision was scattered in several traffic lanes, causing traffic disruption.
No other details were provided, but an investigation is ongoing.
